IIM Ranchi has released its final placement report for the academic session 2023-2025. According to the placement cell authorities of the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi), the highest domestic CTC offer (cost to company) scored went up to ₹ 50.39 Lakhs per annum for the regular MBA batch. As compared to last year’s final placement, there has been an increase of 33% in the regular MBA students' final placement package.
The pre-placement offer has been increased across the programs since last year. Almost 30% of students in MBA-HR and 19.8% of students of regular MBA received pre-placement offers (PPOs), indicating a rise compared to the previous year.
The final placement report of IIM-Ranchi has been released on May 14, 2025, Wednesday. The placement report was released in the presence of experienced faculty members of IIM Ranchi, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava (Director), Prof. Rajeev Verma (Chairperson of Corporate Relations), Prof. Tanushree Dutta (Dean of Academics).
96 companies across the global offered placement to the MBA-Human Resource (HR) and MBA-Business Analytics (BA) graduates. The percentage of freshers who participated in the placement procedure was 59%, 31% of whom were women. The average annual package of the top 10% students increased by 7.7%, following an increase of 6.6% among the top 25% of the placed students.
Some important and key personalities from several industries witnessed the placement season. BFSI and Fintech were the two highest-hiring sectors among all other sectors, followed by consulting, e-commerce, manufacturing, FMCG and IT. The companies hiring for Strategy and consultancy positions rose by 33.33 percent and PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers) in the domain of sales and marketing sectors rose by 28.6 percent.
Recruiters
The top recruiters were Amazon, Vendanta, Accenture, DE Shaw, Deloitte, American Express, McDonald's, HSBC, Titan, Gail, Wipro and Infosys.
IIM Ranchi emphasized learning across disciplines that align with industry advancements. Students studied over 24 electives to train for exciting fields such as, Risk Management, Business Analysis, Marketing Research, Tech Strategy Consulting, including AI Strategy, Strategic HRM, Digital Marketing and Design Thinking.
Prof. Srivastava quoted- “ Our students’ holistic development through multidisciplinary learning gives them a competitive edge in the job market.” He gave credit to the university’s rising stature, evolving curriculum and deep corporate engagement for the tremendous placement performance this year.
