The Karnataka PGCET MBA exam has been rescheduled for June 14 by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Earlier, the PGCET MBA exam was to be held on May 24. The registration process was open until 8th April. The exam is an online test consisting of 100 MCQs from 5 sections. In Karnataka, almost 300 universities accept PGCET results for MBA admissions.

The updated dates for the Karnataka PGCET exam 2026 for MBA have been made public by the Karnataka Examination Authority. The exam date for the MBA exam has been rescheduled to 14 June 2026 from the earlier scheduled date of 24th May 2026. The Karnataka Examination Authority has also launched a new official website for PGCET 2026. Additionally, the PGCET 2026 syllabus for MBA has been made public.

Karnataka PGCET is an entrance exam conducted by the Examination Authority (KEA) annually for admission to the MBA course in various government and private colleges in Karnataka. Students who wish to take admission to an MBA course in Karnataka need to fill out the application form for the Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam for MBA.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 - Who Can Apply? 

For Full-Time MBA

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university to be eligible for Karnataka PGCET 2026 for MBA.

  • The graduation degree must be completed in a period of over three years.

  • You must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for all three years of studies for candidates from the general category.

  • You must have a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for all three years of studies for candidates from SC, ST and Category 1 of Karnataka state only.

For Part-Time MBA

  • You must satisfy all the above conditions.

  • You need to have completed a minimum of 3 years of work experience after your degree course by 31st July 2026.

Note - The Karnataka PGCET MBA test is open to candidates from both the All India category and the Karnataka domicile.

  • English Language - Idioms and phrases, synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction, one-word substitution, basic grammar and well-known English literature books.

  • General Knowledge - Current affairs, business and economic knowledge (fiscal and monetary policy, CRR, Repo Rate), national and international events, the Indian Constitution, currencies and capitals, Indian states, international organisations, UNO

  • Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning - Fact-Inference-Judgment, comparisons, blood ties, seating configurations, clocks, calendars, syllogisms, direction sense, Venn diagrams, puzzles, critical thinking and more

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Preparation Tips

  • Before beginning to prepare for the Karnataka PGCET exam 2026 it is crucial to understand its format and syllabus.

  • Make a good strategy and give each subject enough time especially the ones you struggle with.

  • To improve their speed and accuracy students should routinely practise the papers from the prior year.

Karnataka PGCET Answer Key 2026

If a candidate is not satisfied with any of the answers in the preliminary answer key they can submit objections against the same. The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is known as Karnataka PGCET. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) administers it annually for admission to MBA programs and other postgraduate programs in Karnataka's public and private universities.
