Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-Lucknow) has successfully concluded its final placements for the year 2023-2025 batch.

Despite a dip top salary package but as compared to the last year there has been a drop in case of domestic offer. However, there has been no change in the international offer. The total number of placements reported for the batch of 2023-2025 is over 580.

Briefing about the Placement Report

The average salary for the batch 2023-2025 has risen to ₹ 32.30 LPA. This has marked the increase of ₹ 2.3 Lakhs as compared to the previous year which was ₹ 30.00 Lakhs per annum. The median CTC stood at ₹ 27.00 Lakhs per annum. 

However, there has been a noticeable decline in the highest domestic salary which is a slump of ₹ 48 Lakhs as compared to the last year’s figure.  As per the official website of IIM Lucknow, the highest salary package recorded last year was ₹ 1.23 crore per annum. But this year the highest salary package in the case of domestic offer of IIM Lucknow reached only ₹ 75.00 Lakhs per annum. 

International offers, on the other hand, remain unchanged, with the highest package earned at ₹ 65.00 Lakhs per annum which is exactly the same as last year. The Indian Institute of Lucknow secured more than 580 offers for its 39th batch of the Post Graduate Program (PGP) and the 20th batch of the Postgraduate Program in Agribusiness Management (PGP-ABM). 

IIM Lucknow’s officials has however refrained from issuing any official statement despite noticing the decline in salary figures. One of the officials in the placement department of IIM Lucknow said, “ We are still in the process of collating the final packages offered to students. A press release will be issued on Monday. So far, we have only shared a post on the institute’s official Facebook page”. However the final placement report of the 2022-2024 batch is available in the public domain on the institute’s website. 

One of the faculty members at IIM-Lucknow attributed that the major drop in the highest salary package offer in the domestic case to many factors. Faculty quoted, “ We need to analyse what salary components were included this year compared to last year. The official press release will provide further clarification”.

Last year , in January , the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has asked the alumni for assistance with 72 students awaiting placements. The appeal which was sent by the university to its 2024 batch stated, “We are writing to address the current situation regarding unplaced students from our batch. Currently, 72 talented individuals are seeking employment opportunities. Your support is crucial in maintaining IIM Lucknow’s 100% placement record.” 

However there was an assurance given to the students by the IIM Lucknow’s placement chairperson Prof. Priyanka Sharma that the placement process is still going on and there was no point of concern. The appeal urged the alumni to refer some of the job opportunities for students of the 2024 batch. 

Recruiters 

However as stated by the university’s official Facebook page students got placed with recruiters across the globe in various MNCs. The major sectors where students got placed were consulting, finance, general management, sales and marketing, product management, retail and e-commerce. 

BPCL, Ather Energy, DBS Bank, GMR Group, CRISIL, Javis, Lava, MArsh, McLennan, Maruti Sujuki, Mankind Pharmaceuticals, Mindspirit, NAFED, Phonepay, Wallmart, TESCO, UKG, Vector Consulting, TVS Supply chain solutions and many others were the first time recruiters at IIM Lucknow. These companies have offered students with both domestic and international placements.
