The program is designed to strengthen leadership abilities, strategic thinking, managerial efficiency and decision - making skills among professionals engaged in infrastructure development and nation - building projects. A total of 29 executives from different parts of the country are taking part in this training program.
The opening session was guided by Debasis Satapathy and Prof Jabir Ali along with Program Dr Malaya Ranjan Mohapatra, Directors Dr Vaseem Akram and Dr Pratik Maheshwari.
During the session, Satapathy said that in today's changing work environment, leadership skills and continuous learning are just as important as job knowledge. He added that managers should keep improving their skills to take on bigger responsibilities in the future.
Prof Jabir Ali also highlighted that training programs help professionals become better leaders. He encouraged participants to widen their thinking and improve their abilities so they can contribute more effectively to their organisations and the country.
Prof Prashant Mishra highlighted NBCC's role in nation-building and shared IIM Jammu's focus on providing effective executive education programs. He also stressed the importance of learning from peers and exchanging knowledge during such training programmes.
Explaining the program structure Dr Pratik Maheshwari said the course is designed to tackle modern leadership and management challenges through a mix of different disciplines and practical learning.
Resilience, Strategic thinking, conflict resolution, change management, project management, financial decision-making, public-private partnerships, leadership communication, mindfulness and team building are just a few of the subjects covered in the curriculum.
The inaugural session ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Vaseem Akram, Program Director at IIM Jammu.
