KJSIM Partners with CII for MSME Digital Skills Program

KJ Somaiya Institute of Management worked with the Confederation of Indian Industry to organise the Dx-EDGE market linkage program for MSMEs in Mumbai. The aim was to improve digital skills and market connections for small businesses.

The program helped MSMEs move towards digital-first business models. It shared knowledge about technology, market access and business skills.

An important part of the event was the signing of an agreement between CII and KJSIM. This agreement supports the digital growth of MSMEs and builds stronger ties between industry and educational institutions. It also marks the start of a long-term partnership.

KJ Somaiya said the sessions showed how new technologies like AI, data analytics, cloud services, fintech and digital platforms can help businesses stay competitive and grow in the long run.

K J Somaiya is running a series focused on improving digital skills for MSMEs.

The institute said that by working with CII, KJSIM is growing its support for MSMEs through management education, industry links and hands-on learning programs.

The press release added that the Dx-EDGE program is being developed to help create digitally strong and competitive businesses.

Ramnath Sarma, Head of Executive Education and Consulting Practice at KJ Somaiya, said this initiative tries to connect technology, market access and business skills. He explained that the goal is to make MSMEs more prepared for the future and more resilient.

Industry experts such as Nitin Tiwari from Western Railway, R. Muralidharan, CTO of Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Hardeep Singh Khera from 63SATS Cybertech spoke at the event. They shared their views on digital transformation, cybersecurity and how MSMEs can prepare their organisations for change.

Amit Patil from the Maharashtra government gave a main talk on GeM procurement. After that, Arun Divakaran led a special session to teach entrepreneurs about artificial intelligence.

Teams from 63SATS Cybertech and TCS iON gave technology presentations. They explained tools related to cybersecurity, ERP and automation. Professors from KJSIM also held sessions on using data to make better business decisions for MSMEs.
