Jindal Stainless partners with IIMB for leadership program

Jindal Stainless has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) to develop a specially designed ‘Strategic Leadership Development Program’ to develop strategic thinking, business acumen and decision-making abilities in its senior-level employees.

Jindal Stainless partners with IIMB for leadership program

The program was formally launched by Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, in association with Sushil Baveja, Chief Human Resources Officer. The program was also attended by Mukta Kulkarni, Dean (Programs) & Professor at IIMB; Deepak Chandrashekar, Strategy faculty at IIMB and Anand Pachouri, Head of Learning & Development at Jindal Stainless.

A group consisting of 23 professionals from different functions at Jindal Stainless would be part of sessions conducted by faculty from IIM Bangalore. The institute has specifically designed its curriculum to ensure that it is very interactive and experience-based, with an emphasis on practical knowledge.

Talking about this partnership, Abhyuday Jindal said that this initiative is part of an effort to ensure that the leadership capabilities at Jindal Stainless grow in line with its ambitions.

Talking further, he said that as Jindal Stainless grows in size, it becomes more important to ensure that its leadership capabilities grow in line with its ambitions and global standards. By getting valuable insights from IIMB’s distinguished faculty, their senior leadership would not only be able to develop new perspectives but also tackle complex business challenges with renewed assurance.

Mukta Kulkarni stated that the program equips the participant with both theoretical knowledge and practical business expertise to enable the development of the skills required to operate in an ever-changing and dynamic business world. She also pointed to the value of partnerships between businesses and academia in developing leaders fit for the future.

The program will cover important areas like strategy, finance, macroeconomic trends, innovation, emerging technologies, personality development and teamwork. The program aims at enhancing skills in strategic execution, teamwork and leadership, especially as individuals shift focus from functional roles to a more enterprise-wide approach.

In his comments, Sushil Baveja said, This program is a reflection of Jindal Stainless’ focus on continuing leadership development. The program aims at providing an external perspective on business growth and enhancing participants’ understanding of business strategy, finance and organisational dynamics.
