Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and Emeritus Launch Chief Technology Officer Program

The role of a Chief Technology Officer is evolving, as organisations are rapidly adopting AI and digital technologies. Today technology leaders are expected to support business strategy and innovation and not just technology management. As per a report by McKinsey & Company more than 75 per cent of organisations are already leveraging AI in at least one function and as per a report by Gartner 70 percent of technology leaders believe generative AI is a major breakthrough. McKinsey estimates that generative AI could create $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion of global economic value annually.

To aid professionals in building these skills the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow which was ranked 5th in the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2025 ranking of management institutions launched its fourth batch of the Chief Technology Officer Program in collaboration with Emeritus.

This program aims to enable professionals in technology leadership to achieve their business goals by leveraging technology. It also aims to provide them with leadership skills that can drive technology-driven business transformations.

This program is designed for existing or aspiring CTOs who wish to utilise technology and strategy to drive business outcomes. It can also be helpful to emerging CIOs, technology leaders who wish to improve their business alignment and business owners who wish to utilise technology to drive their business and achieve higher growth.

Avnish Singhal the Executive Vice President for India and APAC at Emeritus said that today, to be a technology leader you need to have a vision and strategic thinking. The idea of this program is to enable professionals to make better decisions by understanding the link between technology and business strategy.

This program will be a practical learning experience where participants will be able to learn through live online classes conducted by the faculty from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow along with industry experts. Participants will also be able to experience a three-day immersive experience at the IIM Lucknow Campus.

Key areas to be covered in the program include AI Innovation, Digitalisation of Value Chains, Advanced Robotics, Cloud Strategy etc.

IIM Lucknow and Emeritus CTO Program Details

Start Date - 31 March 2026
Duration - 10 months
Mode - Live online sessions by IIM Lucknow faculty with on-campus immersion
Eligibility - Graduate or diploma (10+2+3) or post-graduate with at least 10 years of work experience
Fee - ₹5.35 Lakhs + GST
Certification - Participants who complete the program with at least 75% attendance will receive a certificate from IIM Lucknow and become eligible for IIM Lucknow Executive Alumni status.
