G. Kiran Kumar, HPCL's principal general manager of human resources, attended the function as a distinguished guest. He highlighted the increasing need for networking in the competitive and fast-paced business world today. He underlined that establishing true contacts and fostering coordination not only propels.

Abhishek Trivedi, executive director of HPCL's Visakh Refinery Modernisation Project (VRMP) was the principal guest at the event and gave the keynote address. He identified the key lacuna between technical skill and managerial accountability, stressing that although technical skills are essential, transitioning into a managerial role requires more strategic insight, responsibility and leadership skill. He also stressed the need for values such as ethics, discipline and responsibility, contending that they are necessary in evolving organisational excellence and positioning HPCL as a leader in the industry.

IIMV director Prof. M. Chandrasekhar praised HPCL for its outstanding performance and steady growth in all significant areas. He also stressed the pivotal role of management professionals in deciding organisational success. Whereas technical expertise is needed, he added management roles necessitate a greater degree of concentration, accountability and ability to motivate and inspire people towards like-minded goals that are aligned with the organisation's overall vision.
