IIM Visakhapatnam Hosts a Senior Management Program Valedictory

A farewell event for the Senior Management Program Batch 2B was organised by IIM Visakhapatnam. According to state IIMV officials the SMP at IIM Visakhapatnam gives participants the ability to envision bright futures, get strategic insights and turn obstacles into possibilities. The program offers an integrated learning experience with four pillars and twelve courses altogether. The cohort with an average of more than 20 years of experience worked through modules in leadership, finance, artificial intelligence, strategy, digital transformation, among other crucial themes over the past year. A three day campus immersion and farewell ceremony marked the end of its voyage.

IIM Visakhapatnam Hosts a Senior Management Program Valedictory

In his farewell speech, Prof. M. Chandrasekhar the director of IIM Visakhapatnam, emphasised the importance of both learning and leadership. He congratulated the participants. He underscored the mission of the Institute to develop thinking leaders and generate a talented, capable and confident workforce for India.

The participants stated that the practical perspective of the program enabled them to make a shift from managers to strategic leaders. They expressed gratitude to the program directors, Prof. Amit Shankar and Prof. Srinivas Josyula and the faculty members, including Prof. Sushil Kumar for their guidance and mentorship.

The event also recognised the best capstone projects and witnessed the release of a casebook developed by the cohort.
