The ceremony was chaired by Chairman Pankaj Patel and included Chief Guest B.S. Nagesh. It was concluded by Director Prof. Ashok Banerjee.
At this ceremony, a total of 481 students graduated, including 5 PhD scholars, 346 students from the Two-Year MBA batch and 130 students from the One-Year MBA programs.
While addressing the students, Chairman Pankaj Patel talked about how IIM Udaipur was becoming a global brand with its inclusion in the Financial Times and QS rankings. He talked about some of the achievements of IIM U, like having published 11 academic papers in top global journals, launching an Executive PhD program and launching a BBA course in two languages according to NEP 2020. He talked about how IIM U was associated with Harvard Business Impact for global case distribution. He encouraged all the students to lead with responsibility, integrity and purpose.
In his speech, Chief Guest B.S. Nagesh emphasised the importance of humility, learning and customer-centric leadership. He also spoke about how one has to respect all roles in an organisation, be open to feedback and be adaptable to succeed in life. He advised the students to remain humble, aim high and try to make a difference in life.
In his speech, Director Prof. Ashok Banerjee said, Convocation marks the beginning of a new journey in their life and hence, continue to learn and actively engage with them through their alumni community.
The institute also honored its outstanding students for their academic achievements. Five research scholars received their PhD degrees. In the Two-Year MBA program, Amruta Patil, Nilta Sood, Anuj Sharma and Aadhiraj More won gold medals for securing top 1% places in their batch. Akhilesh Choudhari from GSCM and Amey Deshprabhu from DEM won top places in their respective One-Year MBA programs.
Special awards included Kuldeep Anjana as the best finance student, Amruta Patil for being the first-ranked student and Aarushi Singla as the top female student in supply chain management. Amruta Patil was awarded the title of Best All-Rounder in the Two-Year MBA program, while Reshav Gupta received the same title in the One-Year MBA program.
Academic excellence, leadership and student development are the focus of the institute at the convocation.
