IIM Shillong Enters the Elite League of Global B Schools

IIM Shillong has received AACSB accreditation which is considered a global benchmark in management education excellence. This recognition places IIM Shillong in an exclusive group of global business schools that fulfil AACSB’s strict standards in teaching, research, curriculum quality, student success and social impact. Fewer than 6 per cent of business schools globally have earned this accreditation and IIM Shillong is now among the limited AACSB-accredited institutes in India.

IIM Shillong leadership said that this achievement represents the combined efforts and dedication of the entire institute community in gaining global recognition.

The Director in charge, Naliniprava Tripathy, added that the institute will continue working towards its long-term goals and AACSB commitments over the next six years while further strengthening its global reputation.

She also noted that the accreditation highlights IIM Shillong’s focus on academic excellence, sustainability-focused management education, innovation research and international engagement.

The AACSB peer review assessed the institute on key areas such as industry engagement, strategic management, research output, faculty quality, student learning outcomes and continuous improvement.

This accreditation also strengthens IIM Shillong's opportunities for global collaborations, academic partnerships, student and faculty exchange programs, executive education, international research projects and closer interaction with industry leaders and policymakers.
