IIM Sambalpur Launches Delhi Chapter of I-Hub Foundation and Alumni Incubation Scheme

IIM Sambalpur one of India’s leading management institutes, has launched the Delhi Chapter of its I-Hub Foundation a business incubator designed to promote innovation-driven entrepreneurship in line with India’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047. At the beginning of Marmagya 10.0 the institute's annual business summit, held on its Delhi campus the launch took place.

In order to improve cooperation on innovation, incubation and investment the I-Hub Foundation aims to connect business owners, graduates and industry leaders in the National Capital Region. Additionally it aims to create new opportunities for investors, legislators and startups to work together on innovative business projects.

Altaf Hussain who is the Head of HR at ITC was the Guest of Honour; Farhana Haque who is the Senior Director of Customer Consulting, Microsoft Asia was the Keynote Speaker and Vibhor Jain is the Acting CEO & CFO of ONDC was the Chief Guest.

In his speech Vibhor Jain pointed out India's quick digital evolution citing developments like the Aadhaar project and the effect of GST in bringing about an integrated and clear economy that facilitates business development.

IIM Sambalpur Director Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal said the new Delhi Chapter is a milestone in creating an integrated ecosystem of innovation. He underlined that entrepreneurship is the pulse of the institute and the development gives power to alumni and innovators to propel India's growth story under Viksit Bharat 2047.

Guest of Honour Altaf Hussain shared that true leadership rests on five key principles which are Core, Coach, Connect, Congratulate and Contribute and that good leaders must work not just for personal success but also for national progress.

Farhana Haque from Microsoft Asia added that genuine development happens when progress benefits society as a whole.

Prof. Atul Prashar who is the CEO-in-Charge of the I-Hub Foundation explained that the new Alumni Incubation Scheme is designed to turn ideas into impact by linking entrepreneurs with mentors and investors to support purpose-driven startups from the IIM Sambalpur community.

IIM Sambalpur alumnus Aryan Kushwaha who is the Manager at Shorthills.ai expressed pride in the launch. He highlighted that the initiative will support alumni working on cutting-edge technologies like Agentic AI startups developing autonomous, decision-making systems. Such investments he added are the seeds of tomorrow's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and it is early-stage mentorship and guidance that help these succeed.

By providing coaching, funding and investor connections the recently formed Alumni Incubation Scheme under the I-Hub Foundation aims to promote entrepreneurship among IIM Sambalpur alumni.  It helps India realise its goal of creating an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The topic for Marmagya 10.0 this year is “Navigating Businesses in a Multi-Polar World - Ideas for Viksit Bharat 2047.” The conclave brings together corporate leaders, policymakers, industry experts, entrepreneurs and students to share ideas and discuss the future of business.

Over the years Marmagya has become a major platform at IIM Sambalpur fostering collaboration between academia and industry through its core values of innovation, integrity and inclusiveness.
