Organised in collaboration with Project Point Odisha, this event was a part of the ‘MY Bharat’ initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and it saw the involvement of 20 youth delegates, including tribal representatives.

Issues such as youth leadership, innovation, governance and development were also covered during the debate, all of which are also in accordance with the overall development goals that India has been pursuing over time. Prominent speakers, including Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, Satya Prakash Pattnaik, former Director of NYKS and Nihar Ranjan Dash, Special Secretary to the Government of Odisha, emphasised the importance of empowered youth to shape the development initiatives in the country.

The program had discussions on ten themes pertaining to Viksit Bharat 2047 on sustainable development techniques and the socio-economic backdrop of Odisha. Prof. Jaiswal underlined the promise of AI-led innovation in addressing global difficulties and India's issues, while Dash highlighted the need for a new educational vision that supports every child's aspiration.

Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue furthers the interest of IIM Sambalpur in promoting national development discourses through academic excellence, youth involvement and policy-oriented deliberations. The institute envisions nurturing socially responsible leaders who shall contribute to transforming India into a developed nation by the year 2047.
