IIM Nagpur to Launch New Satellite Campus in Pune
This new campus will introduce IIM Nagpur's model of world-class management education to Pune city which is well-known for its rich academic tradition and robust industrial heritage. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is at the forefront of the initiative with Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule lending his support.

There have been several high-ranking meetings in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur during the past year to try and bring the project forward. The land allocation in Moshi is a significant step towards the realisation of the campus.
Referring to the development, Revenue Minister Bawankule described it as a fortunate day that fell on Ganesh Chaturthi. He noted that Pimpri-Chinchwad which has a diverse populace, good industrial presence and great Mumbai to Pune connectivity will become more prominent with the coming of IIM Nagpur.
Pune also known as the "Oxford of the East" is already a major education, IT, automotive and industrial hub. The new campus will draw the best students from all over India and generate new opportunities in research, entrepreneurship and management studies.
India presently boasts 21 IIMs including the ones in Mumbai and Nagpur. The new campus in Pune will further enhance Maharashtra's position as a hub of management education and boost both the economy of the region and scholarship.
The acquisition of land is in process and the authorities are speeding up the development so that the campus can start operations shortly.
