IIM Nagpur and Maha Metro Work Together on a Compensation Benchmarking Study

An agreement has been signed between Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MahaMetro) and Indian Institute of Management Nagpur to carry out a salary benchmarking study. The deal seeks to review MahaMetro's existing pay structure and align it with best practices in public and private sector organisations.

IIM Nagpur and Maha Metro Work Together on a Compensation Benchmarking Study

Bhimaraya Metri, director of IIM Nagpur and Shravan Hardikar, managing director of MahaMetro signed the agreement.  As part of the partnership, IIM Nagpur will carry out an extensive investigation utilising both qualitative and quantitative techniques.

The exercise will involve convenience sampling, focus group discussions with stakeholders, and a rigorous review of current remuneration and recognition practices. IIM Nagpur will submit a comprehensive report detailing gaps in pay schemes, benefits programs and organisational policies, along with actionable suggestions based on its findings.

The initiative is likely to increase employees' engagement and allegiance and assist MahaMetro in attracting capable experts, as per officials.
