In order to meet the dynamic and modern demands brought about by the healthcare sector's record growth, the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur in partnership with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) and TimesPro, a higher education technology platform has opened the sixth batch of admissions to the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Advanced Healthcare Management.

The program aims to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and expertise that they require to navigate the intricate healthcare ecosystem and forge future leaders who will drive innovation, efficiency and excellence in their organisations.

The 12-month blended learning program is the first partnership between AIIMS Nagpur and IIM Nagpur, combining their healthcare and management strengths. It is a four-day campus stay in which AIIMS Nagpur faculty will provide lectures and seminars at IIM Nagpur to ensure a well-rounded learning process. Modules on healthcare management, policy, finance, operations, technology, analytics, human resources and strategy will all be covered in the curriculum. Participants will gain experience in handling different healthcare institutions and get ready for diverse roles within the industry, readying themselves for leadership and driving their organisations forward. The combined budgeted government spending on health was 2.1% of GDP in FY23 and 2.2% of GDP in FY22 as per Economic Survey 2022-23.

In comparison OECD data found the greatest health expenditure proportion of GDP for 2022 to be in the US at 16.6% followed by Germany at 12.7% and France at 12.1%. The Fifteenth Finance Commission, driven by technological innovation and accessibility, suggested raising spending to 2.5 percent of GDP by 2025. India's healthcare market will increase from $2.7 billion in 2022 to $37 billion by 2030, a Boston Consulting Group and B Capital study said.

He further added that the curriculum would equip learners with cross functional and varied skills required for business success.

The Post Graduate Certificate Program in Advanced Healthcare Management is intended to give the upcoming generation of healthcare administrators the information and abilities they need to lead the sector, according to Dr. Prashant P. Joshi, Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur. Their partnership with IIM Nagpur and TimesPro offers a unique learning experience that fills the gap between healthcare knowledge and effective management strategies.

TimesPro is excited to work with IIM Nagpur and AIIMS Nagpur on the sixth batch of the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Advanced Healthcare Management according to Sridhar Nagarajachar, Business Head. Our tie-up demonstrates our endeavour to equip healthcare professionals with managerial skills to address the imperatives of the healthcare industry. Through the integration of academic rigor with practical insights, we hope to develop a leader cadre who will shape innovation and excellence in patient care. TimesPro's Interactive Learning (IL) technology will be used to deliver the course in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode.The pedagogical techniques used are lectures, case study discussions, simulation games, role-plays, group projects and other experiential activities.  Learners who successfully complete the program will be awarded alumni status. Admissions to programs will close on November 2, 2025 and batches will start on November 23, 2025.
