IIM Mumbai Launches the Public Policy Management Diploma (PGDPPM) a One-Year Program

The deadline for registration is December 20, 2025 and the application procedure has already started.
This 45-credit one year diploma integrates IIM Mumbai's academic excellence and world-class faculty with innovative digital learning technologies to create a future-ready education designed for mid-career professionals. The notification states that the program focuses on strategy, leadership, technology, sustainability and public policy.
According to the organisation's website, IIM Mumbai's public policy school enables professionals to create strong governance frameworks and effective policies.
In line with its partnership with DoPT, the IIM Mumbai has designed the program to accommodate both DoPT sponsored officers and participants from other sources. This collaborative approach enhances the academic rigour of the program by building a diverse and multidisciplinary cohort, leading to improved learning.
Procedure for Admission
Applications are now being accepted for the program starting in February 2026. Applicants must have a bachelor degree with at least 50 percent or equivalent CGPA and at least five years of experience. Admission will be determined by performance on the IIM Mumbai Admission Test, the IMAT or a valid score on the CAT, GMAT or GRE from the preceding five years, followed by an in-person interview.. CAT 2025 is scheduled on November 30.
IIM Mumbai Director Prof. Manoj Tiwari stated during the launch Professionals will be equipped to confidently handle contemporary policy concerns with the PG Diploma in Public Policy Management. Participants learn leadership, crisis management and innovation skills through projects, role playing and peer education, preparing them for senior positions in business, government and the social sector.
According to the NIRF 2025 top management college list IIM Mumbai got sixth position.
