IIM Mumbai Celebrates Second Convocation with 988 Graduates and Alumni Recognition

The convocation also saw the conferring of the Distinguished Alumni Awards which recognised 16 senior alumni for their achievements in their industries and nine young achievers for their contributions in a range of fields.
The primary guest and speaker during the convocation was Dr. PK Mishra, the Principal Secretary to the Indian Prime Minister. Dr. Mishra encouraged the graduating classes of 2022-2024 and 2023-2025 to strive for greatness responsibly and utilise their education for the betterment of industry and society.
IIM Mumbai's Chairman of the Board of Governors and Founder Chairman of Allcargo Group, Shashi Kiran Shetty praised the school for its contribution to developing globally minded leaders. IIM Mumbai continues to produce responsible, innovative and entrepreneurial graduates who are well equipped to make valuable contributions to nation building said Mr Singh.
In his Director's Report, Professor Manoj Kumar Tiwari highlighted the institute's accomplishments since NITIE changed its name to IIM Mumbai in 2023, including sixth place in the NIRF 2025 rankings, the launch of new executive and MBA programs, international partnerships and research recognition. He was thrilled that the institute had its highest-ever number of PhD graduates this year with 31 researchers.
The function also saw the awarding of medals and special awards to students who had performed exceptionally in academics, leadership, innovation and community impact. Industry leaders and high profile guests graced the festivities, showcasing IIM Mumbai's increasing reach in academia, politics and industry.
