IIM Kozhikode Hosts 6th Globalising Indian Thought Conclave to Shape Vision of Viksit 6Bharat @2047

Ambassador Vikas Swarup, a writer and former diplomat and Anil D. Sahasrabuddhe, chair of the National Educational Technology Forum and the NAAC Executive Committee were the honoured guests.

It is a three day conference celebrating 'India@100 (2047) Celebrating India's Journey to Become a Developed and Inclusive Nation and IIMK@50'.

For Vikas Swarup, India growing global influence is rooted in its ideology of empowering rather than overpowering. It is what has driven efforts that promote capacity building and digital infrastructure, advance sustainable development and make India the natural voice of the developing world.

Anil D Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman, NETF and NAAC Executive Committee mentioned that India, as the fourth largest economy in the world, is continuously improving on the Global Innovation Index and opening new opportunities. The country is all set to see an extraordinary transformation.

Emphasising peaceful coexistence in a conflict-ridden world was a perpetual ideal of the country. He underlined the role and contribution of educational institutions saying that as entrepreneurial ecosystems, they enable innovation, cooperation and purpose-driven leadership to build the vision of Viksit Bharat over the coming decades.

Globalising Indian Thought is about unlocking India's hidden potential for the world said Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode. As they march towards Viksit Bharat @2047, their goal is to translate ancient wisdom into action in the modern world where labor is meaningful, women lead with valor and the Indian worldview produces a far more compassionate, connected world.

The summit will culminate in the presentation of the Vision Document for Viksit Bharat, comprising clear cut policy insights along with paths of collaboration for the journey of India to 2047.
