During the launch of the program, Director Debashis Chatterjee emphasised how the program has a legacy of producing future-ready leaders. He also emphasised how the program has a diverse and inclusive culture, with one of the highest percentages of women participants in a flagship program. He further emphasised how data analytics and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly important in today’s business world.
The last batch of Executive MBA, which was the 18th batch of the program, was the largest Executive MBA batch in the institute’s history, with 672 participants. The batch comprised women participants, who formed 29% of the class, a record high. The batch comprised working executives and entrepreneurs from companies in the private sector, government organisations and public sector units. The sectors were diverse, ranging from IT, consulting, BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, legal services and aerospace. The experience of participants ranged from three years to more than twenty years.
The EPGP is designed to help participants develop their careers and become leaders in their respective fields. The EPGP program is delivered through a combination of interactive online courses at designated centres and on-campus learning over two years, with more than 750 contact hours. In the first year, participants learn key management subjects such as finance, marketing, operations, strategy, human resource management, economics and liberal arts. In the second year, participants can choose advanced electives such as corporate strategy, digital transformation, AI for business, entrepreneurship, leadership, international business and thematic courses.
The EPGP program is delivered through an interactive platform with lectures, case studies, simulations, assignments, presentations, and sessions by experts from various industries. The program also allows participants to engage with entrepreneurial initiatives through IIMK Live, which is a business incubator at the institute. The programme includes three one-week immersions at the campus and an optional international immersion for global exposure.
The admission process includes the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) and a personal interview. Alternatively, valid scores for CAT, GRE or GMAT (within three years) can be submitted. Graduates achieve alumni status with access to over 15,000 professionals within the IIM Kozhikode network.
