IIM Kozhikode and Tata Power-DDL Work Together to Expand the Capability of the Power Sector

Praveen Agrawal of Tata Power-DDL and Debashis Chatterjee, the director of IIMK, signed an MoU to formally establish the collaboration.

The five-year agreement seeks to develop a pool of knowledgeable, adaptable power specialists who can handle emerging issues in both global markets and India's changing power industry.

The two parties will work together to create and provide targeted training programmes for power sector professionals with an emphasis on smart grids, renewable integration, distributed generation, electric mobility and AI power systems applications.

The collaboration will also entail collaborative research projects, exchange of faculty, workshops and consultancy assignments. The key areas of focus include energy transition and decarbonisation, smart grid resilience, sustainability and ESG integration, leadership development and digital transformation.

The MoU will enable IIMK to invite Tata Power-DDL experts to its international conclaves and forums for thought leadership, thus enhancing industry-academic interfaces.

Both organisations see this collaboration as a building block for stimulating innovation and future-proofing the electricity industry.
