IIM-Kashipur Signs an Agreement to Start Programs in Clean Energy and Sustainability
A program named the Post Graduate Executive Certificate Program in Net Zero Strategy and Sustainability Leadership is being launched by both organisations under this tie-up. Professionals in core engineering, energy, oil and gas, power, consulting, corporate finance, sustainability and related fields who want to advance their careers and spearhead the shift to clean energy and sustainable development for businesses the public sector, MSMEs, government agencies and the general public are the target audience. The press release added that the topics addressed included climate systems, decarbonisation technology, net zero options, carbon markets, climate finance and sustainable business models.
This program is based on three cornerstones: people, planet and profit. Participants will gain knowledge of inclusive leadership in sustainability programs and change management strategies through case study-based learning, people engagement tactics and sustainability-focused teamwork.
Additionally, they will receive thorough instruction in economics, ecosystem thinking, climate risk management and circular economy concepts. Participants will also explore new finance approaches for sustainability projects and investment assessments.
Prof. Kunal Ganguly, dean of IIM Kashipur and Manifold EV Academy Pvt. Ltd., chairman and managing director, inked the agreement. Rahul Bagdia, Prof Vaibhav Bhamoriya and other professors and staff were present at IIM.
In the meantime, the Institute began the 2025-27 academic year with 433 students admitted to its core courses, viz., the MBA, MBA (Analytics) and PhD. The formal opening session took place on June 27, 2025 while the induction program ran from June 23 to June 26.
As of June 27 (noon), the latest batch includes 265 students for the flagship MBA degree, 157 for the MBA (Analytics) program and 11 doctorate research fellows for the PhD program. This year's intake comprises students with diverse academic backgrounds such as arts, commerce, science and engineering, along with mixed professional experience.
