When and Where Was the MoU Signed?
The MoU was signed on 11th April 2026 at the annual meet of CAHO where over 2500 delegates attended. Dr Vijay Agarwal the President of CAHO and Prof. B.S. Sahay who is the Director of IIM Jammu signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The ceremony was graced by many eminent personalities including –

What Will This Partnership Achieve?
Signing of this MoU will be a huge step forward in improving the training of healthcare leaders in India. The following areas will see collaboration in the form of -

Who Does What Under This MoU?
There is a distinct separation of responsibilities between the two entities.
The Indian Institute of Management Jammu will be responsible for
Course design and development
Assessment and certification of courses
CAHO will assist in
Hospital and healthcare industry contacts
Internship and job placement of the students
Linking the course with the healthcare industry
Moreover this partnership will pave the way for both local and international internship opportunities for the students of the MBA (Healthcare) programme at IIM Jammu.

Director of IIM Jammu B.S. Sahay referred to this MOU as a valuable step that bridged the gap between academic organisations and the health care industry. He appreciated Professor K. Ganapathy who is the Honorary Distinguished Professor of IIM Jammu and Dr Lallu Joseph who is the Secretary General of CAHO for having brought about such a unique collaboration.
Honorary Distinguished Professor of IIM Jammu Professor Shakti Gupta believed that collaboration was essential for the development of India's health care system. It is through management education along with health care education that innovation and effective governance can be achieved.
