IIM Jammu Secures 19th Rank in IIRF Government MBA Rankings 2026

IIM Jammu has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 19th position in the IIRF Government MBA Rankings 2026, improving from 22nd rank last year. The institute earned an overall score of 923.13, reflecting its strong performance in areas such as academic quality, placements, research, institutional growth, international exposure and stakeholder satisfaction.

Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Prof BS Sahay, the Director of IIM Jammu, thanked the MoE and GOI for their continued support. He also appreciated Padma Shri Dr Milind P Kamble, Chairman of the Board of Governors and other board members for their guidance and leadership. He stated that this ranking is the result of the hard work and dedication of the entire IIM Jammu community. According to him, the institute has developed into a leading centre for learning, research, innovation and industry engagement with a strong academic foundation and global outlook.

Prof Sahay also highlighted another important achievement of the institute. IIM Jammu received two prestigious international recognitions within a year - the BGA Institutional Accreditation and the EFMD Program Accreditation for its MBA program. These accreditations show that the institute follows global quality standards and is progressing rapidly on the international stage.

Prof Jabir Ali, the Dean of Faculty and Research, said that the ranking reflects the institute's growing strength in academics and research. He noted that IIM Jammu is continuously promoting research, innovation and collaboration across different fields to create knowledge that benefits industry and society. He added that the institute remains committed to improving academic quality and producing future - ready management professionals.

Prof Nitin Upadhyay, Dean Academics, stated that the ranking highlights the institute's strong academic standards, updated curriculum, student-focused teaching methods and industry-linked programs. He emphasised that IIM Jammu aims to develop responsible leaders with global perspectives, ethical values and strong management skills.
