The training programme, which will continue for a week, has been organized for 20 young officers of NHPC to make them better leaders and increase their knowledge about the latest trends in the power industry.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Faculty and Research. Prof. Prashant Mishra, Chairperson of Executive Education and Consultancy and Programme Directors Dr. Guangpuanang Kahmei and Dr. Lalit Pankaj were also present at the inaugural ceremony.

In the inaugural ceremony, after the lighting of the lamp, Prof. Jabir Ali said that the energy sector plays a crucial role in the development of the economy and that NHPC is one of the major green national bodies.

Prof. Prashant Mishra pointed out that the executive programs at IIM Jammu offer a platform for officers from diverse backgrounds to come together, thus creating a learning environment that is collaborative in nature.

Dr. Guangpuanang Kahmei gave an insight into the academic program for the week, which includes sessions on strategic thinking, conflict management, building high-performance teams, industry trends and the future of work in the power industry. He encouraged the officers to take full advantage of the learning opportunities available.

Dr. Lalit Pankaj concluded the function with a vote of thanks, confident that the program would greatly add to the skills of the officers. The function ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.
