Dr. Parvathy B., Program Director at IIM Jammu delivered the inaugural address and spoke about the travel difficulties faced by participants due to flight delays. She appreciated their commitment to learning and explained, through a practical example, how a management-focused approach can help in handling complex contract management and arbitration issues. She also thanked the Executive Education and Consultancy team of IIM Jammu for their support in organising the program.

Dr. Naveen Goyal, Program Director at IIM Jammu, praised the careful design of the program and appreciated the involvement of experienced industry experts. He welcomed the senior NHPC officials and said their experience would add value to peer learning. He encouraged participants to actively take part in the sessions, learn effectively, and build strong professional relationships.

Shri Pardeep Saini, Program Officer, Business Development, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu said that the program was specially planned to focus on key areas of contract management and arbitration. He explained the three day structure and learning objectives. He also talked about the different Executive Education and Consultancy programs at IIM Jammu. He said the institute has completed seven consultancy projects. This shows that IIM Jammu follows a self sustaining approach. He added that participants would remain connected to IIM Jammu even after the program ends.

The program started with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony. This was followed by a welcome address by Mohd. Arif, Executive, EE & C IIM Jammu. During the introductory session, participants introduced themselves, shared their expectations and spoke about travel issues caused by flight cancellations, while showing enthusiasm for the learning ahead. The inaugural ceremony ended with the National Anthem. This marked a formal and positive beginning of the Executive Education Program.
