IIM Jammu Has Completed its 12th Batch of the Nurturing Future Leadership Program

At the Vedanta MDP Centre, the Indian Institute of Management Jammu held a grand farewell ceremony to conclude the 12th batch of its renowned Nurturing Future Leadership Program. The five day leadership development took place from October 6 to 10, 2025, as part of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Program run by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Professor B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu attended the ceremony and thanked the ministry for its initiative to promote academic leadership and professional development. He underlined the program's contribution to building collaborative research based institutional cultures and urged participants to undertake collaborative research, PhD programs and publications, underscoring the commitment of IIM Jammu to national progress.

Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Faculty and Research, thanked the institute for its tremendous growth, mentioning that IIM Jammu has already secured two international accreditations and is striving to attain the triple crown. He termed the NFLP an institutional development and knowledge sharing forum.

Professor Nitin Upadhyay, Dean Academics highlighted the need for pedagogical innovation, academic leadership and critical thinking in reshaping India's higher education landscape.

The NFLP continues to produce a pipeline of future leaders according to Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson of Executive Education and Consultancy who underlined the program's objective of fostering strategic leadership and decision making abilities.

 Dr Anuja Akhouri, Program director presented a comprehensive program report that outlined key takeaways and participant engagement. Partcipants described the program as transformative, praising its interactive pedagogy, live case studies and lively academic space.

The occasion also included a certificate giving ceremony followed by a formal vote of gratitude from Dr Sarbjit Singh the program director. The national anthem was played to close out the event.

The 12th class of NFLP reflects IIM Jammu's vision to create dynamic leaders who are committed to India's growth vision for 2047. The program conducted by IIM Jammu's Executive Education and Consultancy department adds to the institute's growing reputation as a centre of academic excellence and leadership development.
