IIM Jammu Begins its tenth glorious year of academic excellence and innovation

The Indian Institute of Management Jammu commemorated a decade of its existence with a grand inauguration ceremony at its Jagti Campus. As per a statement released here the ceremony was marked by the presence of notable dignitaries, such as Shantmanu, Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, UT of Jammu and Kashmir who delivered the inaugural address as chief guest. The guest of honour was J&K Bank's Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee.

IIM Jammu Begins its tenth glorious year of academic excellence and innovation

The event began with a Saraswati Vandana and lamp lightin, thus initiating a celebration of the march to excellence by IIM Jammu. The highlight of the function was the revelation by Shantmanu of the institute's 10 year logo which represents IIM Jammu's focus on innovation and change.

In his welcome speech Director Professor B.S. Sahay reminisced about the institute's decade long journey and future projects. Presenting IIM Jammu's academic and research endeavours, deans Jabir Ali and Nitin Upadhyay emphasised the school's standing as a top management school. Distinguished panellists from leading universities participated in a panel discussion led by Shantmanu on the role of educational institutions in the growth and development of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

The discussion focused on the need for partnership efforts to encourage innovation development of talent and sustainable success in the region. Professor Shyam Narayan gave the ceremony's last vote of thanks.
