IIM Calcutta & FPSB India have joined to Launch Financial Planning Program

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, also known as IIM Calcutta has entered into a partnership contract with Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) India, which will include a new executive education program focused on chartered financial planning. This partnership agreement was entered on 5 February 2026 in Mumbai, presided by top representatives from each institution involved.
According to IIM Calcutta, the association will combine its academic expertise and knowledge in financial planning standards and professional certification globally, which will be used for training executives and finance experts.
Strengthening Financial Planning Education
The MOU signing ceremony was conducted by Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, Director IIM Calcutta, in the presence of Dante De Gori, Global CEO FPSB. Prof. P Rajesh Babu, Dean, Executive Education, IIM Calcutta, was also present at the ceremony. This partnership is a response to the increasing need for formal, high-quality education in financial planning and wealth management. The program is specifically created to help professionals develop new-age knowledge and capabilities in areas like financial advisories, risk assessment, retirement planning, taxation and investments.
