IIM Bodh Gaya Welcomes 5th Batch of IPM Students

The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya welcomed its fifth batch of the Integrated Program in Management with a four-day Orientation Program from August 29, 2025. A total of 174 students enrolled for the program this year out of which 59 girls, 115 boys and 9 international students participated bringing together a diverse group of learners from around India and the world.

The program started with Saraswati Vandana, lamp lighting, virtual campus tour and batch profile presentation. The chief guest was Pratyaya Amrit who is the Chief Secretary of Bihar and he urged students to perceive their IIM Bodh Gaya tenure as a chance for leadership, development and purpose.

Director Dr. Vinita S. Sahay greeted the students and addressed India's increasing presence in the international scenario underlining the role of the youth in carving out the future. Guest speakers such as PwC's Tourism Consultant Priyanko Chakraborty and Deloitte's Director Vikash Chandra spoke about corporate life, flexibility and emotional intelligence. Alumni from other companies such as IBM and Newgen Software also addressed the students providing guidance for careers and detailing their own experiences.

The third day comprised a panel discussion on Bihar's employability and tourism ecosystem, with the experts putting forth their views on regional development. Students were also familiarised with support systems, institutional policies and academic committees. On the final day they underwent outbound activities at the Officers Training Academy Gaya where they were exposed to teamwork and leadership exercises. A Heritage Walk in partnership with Gaya Chapter of INTACH introduced them to local history, architecture and conservation practices through interactive lectures and guided walks.
