The conference Re imagining the Healthcare Ecosystem with Technological Advancements' was conducted for industry leaders, policymakers, clinicians and entrepreneurs.

The program for today had experts offer ground-level information regarding the latest technologies that are revolutionising the healthcare sector. Thereafter, a series of panel discussions hosted by well known practitioners and thought leaders explored key elements of the healthcare ecosystem as per an official release from IIM Bodh Gaya.

The panel discussion was graced by the presence of healthcare sector experts like Ajay Bagga, MD & Country Head, Zimmer Biomet; Manish Sardana, MD & GM, South Asia, Vygon; Ram Panda, MD, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Alvarez & Marsal; Bhupendra Tripathi, Deputy Director, Gates Foundation; Pragati Awasthi, Group VP, Romsons Group; Lalit Kanodia, VP, Hospitals & Corporate Services, Tata 1mg and Anith Sankaran, Head of Supply Chain, Shalby MedTech

MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management

Vinita S. Sahay, director of IIM Bodh Gaya emphasised the importance of an India centric healthcare vision, arguing that India cannot afford healthcare the way the West can. What we need is a country that is whole, healthy and powerful in body and spirit.

Swapnarag Swain, MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) chairperson at IIM Bodh Gaya commented that the objective of the leadership summit is to create a good and sustained stream of knowledge between industry and academics. The opening remarks brought the focus of the summit to scalable, inclusive solutions and set the tone for the rest of the sessions.

Additionally, IIM Bodh Gaya is focused on strengthening its MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management program as an industry-focused, practice based course that is aligned with the evolving healthcare industry needs the management institute said.

It also underlined the need for a strong and ongoing flow of knowledge between industry and academia.

The panel session addressed issues ranging from the life and pharmaceutical industries to supply chain stability, access and affordability of innovative drugs, clinical trials' contribution and new directions in vaccines, immunotherapy and personalised medicine.

Discussions touched on Al-driven diagnostics, telemedicine, smart medical devices and data intelligence and yielded actionable recommendations for enhancing interoperability, fortifying supply chains and advancing responsible adoption of new tech, a public release states.
