As per an official press release by the institute, the graduating batch had made exceptional achievements in terms of placements after completion of the course work. A total of 409 students received final offer letters from companies through campus placement exercise of the institution. Over 180 companies participated in the recruitment process, out of which over 100 companies participated for the very first time.
Consulting, IT service and analytics emerged as major recruiters, accounting for more than 130 offers. BFSI was the other major recruiting industry after that, which accounted for around 110 offers for students from the institute. The maximum salary offered to any domestic candidate was Rs 30 lakh per annum, whereas the maximum salary offer to any international candidate was Rs 45.63 lakh per annum.
Global Collaborations and International Tie-Ups
Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya highlighted its growing number of international ties and its continuous development through the course of the event. Leading recruiters such as Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, SAP Labs, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, EY, PwC, HCLTech, Tiger Analytics, Hexaware, Intellect Design Arena, UST, D. E. Shaw & Co., Axis Bank, HSBC India, ICICI Bank, Moody's, Dr. Lal PathLabs, Piramal Foundation, MediBuddy, Clinton Foundation, Narayana Health, Mediversal Hospital and many more were present at the event.
Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India, was the guest of honor at the ceremony. In his speech, he spoke about the latest changes in the global financial world. He said that careful and wise decision-making is very important in today’s fast-changing and innovative world.
During the presentation of the annual report, the director, Vinita S. Sahay, referred to the academic year as one of extraordinary achievements on several fronts, especially when it comes to the international reach of the institution. According to her, the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya has forged relationships with 43 different organisations around the world for activities such as student exchanges, joint projects and academic collaborations.
The convocation ceremony held at the institution was also significant in marking other developments in the institution, such as increased student enrollment, an expanded pool of recruiters, and international placements.
