IIM Bangalore keeps its No. 1 spot in India and Central Asia at the 18th Eduniversal Convention

At the 18th Eduniversal World Convention which took place at IIM Indore from 10 to 13 Nov 2025 IIM Bangalore was once again named one in India and Central Asia. The institute also received the 5 Palmes Emeritus honour which is given only to schools that have stayed in the top 5 Palmes of Excellence category for more than ten years.

IIM Bangalore keeps its No. 1 spot in India and Central Asia at the 18th Eduniversal Convention

The institute won the Gold Trophy as well for being the top school in the Central Asia region. It received the highest Dean’s Recommendation rate of 341 percent. Only two Indian management schools have earned the 5 Palmes Emeritus title and IIM Bangalore is one of just three that have earned the 5 Palmes of Excellence.

Professor Dinesh Kumar who is the Director In-charge and Professor Mukta Kulkarni the dean of programs attended the event and accepted the awards on behalf of the institute.

Professor Dinesh said that all their Programs continue to do well globally and that staying at the top of the Eduniversal rankings shows how the institute keeps improving to create real impact for people and organisations.

IIM Bangalore has been doing well in many global rankings. According to the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking, the flagship PGP program was ranked first in India and 28th globally in 2025. The Executive Post Graduate Program once again ranked number 1 in India and among the top three in the Asia-Pacific region in the Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools Rankings. The institute appeared in the top 10 in Asia and at number 1 in India in the 2026 QS Global MBA Rankings.

Professor Mukta termed this achievement a shared happiness of the whole community and attributed it to the hard work of the faculties, staff and students for its accomplishment.
