IIM Bangalore has surpassed Ahmedabad to become India's top Business School and 28th Internationally in the FT Rankings

According to the Financial Times Masters in Management 2025 global rankings, IIM Bangalore's two-year full-time MBA program the Post Graduate Programme in Management has seen a notable increase. The program is now number one in India and number 28 globally, up from number 41 in 2024. As a result IIMB is now the only Indian business school ranked among the top 30 worldwide.

The ranking highlights IIMB's excellent performance on numerous parameters. Alumni results show better professional development and a significant boost in weighted income, with IIMB placing second in India. Its pay increase rate of 47% is the best among the top three Indian business schools. IIMB also enhanced in value for money, ESG and Net Zero education and a significant rise in its carbon footprint rank which increased from 73 to 13, which shows its commitment to carbon neutrality. IIMB aligns its curriculum and contribution to the best in the world through research so that its students contribute meaningfully to solving hard problems on the world stage. According to Professor U Dinesh Kumar, Director in Charge of IIMB the FT MiM ranking emphasises our commitment to provide a transformative experience that has a long lasting effect on students, practitioners, industry, and society.

They have always felt a competitive edge through embracing inclusive practices, said Prof. Mukta Kulkarni, Dean of Programs and Chairperson of the Office of International Affairs noting that the 2025 FT MiM rankings are supported by the diversity that IIMB has developed among its faculty, student and subsequent alumni fraternity and the governing body.

Exposure to a world-class cohort and regular interactions with some of the most fascinating thinkers and decision-makers in the world have all played a part in this result, she said.
