The day began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Mr Sayed Aasim Mazhar Naqvi, Chief Administrative Officers and Prof. Samir Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Amritsar. The ritual symbolised knowledge and light.

In his keynote address, the director reminisced on IIM Amritsar's journey over the last decade, emphasising the institute's core strengths and consistent improvement. He emphasised that the gains to date have been the result of the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, including teachers, staff, students and administration and expressed confidence in working together to build a better future. A special piece titled "IIM Amritsar: Journey of 10 Years" was a retrospective of the institute's growth and success in a testimonial film. A series of cultural performances by students was a highlight of the celebration, showcasing unique talents of music, dance and poetry to much applause for the intensity and originality that showed on stage.

Awards were given to exceptional cultural contributors during the prize distribution ceremony. Dr Arun Kaushik, Dean of Administration, then led a vote of thanks, where he acknowledged the toil of each person who has worked to make not only today, but the last decade as well, an unqualified success.  He dared the IIMAm community to grab the moment, accept the challenges that lie ahead and continue to strive towards achieving even greater milestones in the future and making them bigger and better.

The night was culminated by a group photo and a gala dinner, which brought togetherness and cheerfulness amidst the IIM Amritsar fraternity. The visitors departed with wonderful memories of an evening spent reminiscing about the past and giving hope for the future.
