IIM Ahmedabad has concluded the first cluster of its final placement process for the PGP 2026 batch, which has received robust participation from recruiters across all key industry sectors. A total of 47 firms participated in this round, hiring for various domains of consulting and finance. Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was the top recruiter in Cluster 1.

IIM Ahmedabad Placement Cluster 1: Important Highlights and Recruiters

The first of the three clusters planned for the final placement process was held in a hybrid format, which enabled both virtual and on-campus participation. The recruiters were grouped into six industry cohorts to provide maximum career opportunities to the PGP students.

In the management consulting industry group, BCG recorded the maximum number of offers, leading the industry group ahead of other top firms like Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Company, Kearney and McKinsey & Company.

• Advisory consulting: EY-Parthenon and Deloitte USI were some of the major recruiters, making a strong impact in this group as well.

• Investment banking & markets: Major global players like Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and UBS were present, with Goldman Sachs making the maximum number of offers in this category.

• Cards and financial advisory: American Express made a strong impact as a major recruiter with a large number of offers.

• Private equity and asset management: Temasek, Blackstone and Elevation Capital were some of the major recruiters in this group.

Upcoming Placement Clusters at IIM Ahmedabad

IIM Ahmedabad follows a cluster-cohort placement process, which helps organisations recruit candidates according to their industry focus and job requirements.

• Cluster 2: Scheduled on 6 February 2026

• Cluster 3: Scheduled on 9 February 2026

If openings are still present after the third cluster, IIM Ahmedabad can proceed with the placement process in a rolling fashion.
