IIM Ahmedabad Increases CAT Cut-Off for 2026 MBA Admissions
General category students now require a minimum of 95th percentile overall and 85th percentile in each of the three sections VARC, QA and DILR. Previously, the mark requirement was 80 overall and 70 per section.
The admission process will still follow two stages:
Stage 1 (Shortlisting): The shortlisting of candidates will be done through two rounds which are the Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). Shortlisting is on the basis of a composite score where 65% weightage is accorded to the CAT performance and 35% to the application rating (AR). AR consists of Class 10, Class 12, graduation marks, work experience and gender diversity.
Stage 2 (Final Selection): The final merit list is drawn by assigning 50% weightage to the interview, 25% to the CAT score, 10% to the WAT and 15% to the AR.
While the cut-offs increased the final selection weightages are the same.
