Hyundai Teams Up With IIM Trichy & MDI Gurgaon to Launch ARISE Leadership Program
The abbreviation ARISE stands for Aspiring, Recognising Individuals for Excellence and Success. The program is specifically framed to accelerate leadership growth by merging theoretical learning with real business experience.
Natwar Kadel who is the Human Resources Head at HMIL asserted that the collaboration with IIM Trichy and MDI Gurgaon is not just about academics it's about creating future-ready talent with sound strategic thinking and a growth mindset. In his view, HMIL sees its people as its best asset and ARISE is committed to assisting them in becoming the best versions of themselves.
The initial stage of the ARISE initiative is already in process at IIM Trichy and MDI Gurgaon campuses. The two-part initiative will see the second stage being introduced in the third quarter of the 2026 financial year.
Prof. Saravanan P who is the Dean of Corporate Relations & Faculty Affairs IIM Trichy indicated that the collaboration with HMIL unites industry pertinence and academic depth. According to him, the ARISE program is designed to build strategic thought and human-centred leadership.
Prof. Sumita Rai who is the Dean of Industry Connect, MDI Gurgaon mentioned that the program emphasises a common passion for effective and practical learning. She further mentioned that MDI strives to equip HMIL's future leaders to survive and thrive in the rapidly evolving business environment.
HMIL selected IIM Trichy and MDI Gurgaon for this program after carefully evaluating their academic reputation, teaching methods and how well they aligned with Hyundai’s vision of developing future leaders.
ARISE is a multi-campus program designed to encourage strategic thinking, teamwork and personal as well as professional growth. It includes real-world case studies, role plays, group discussions and simulation-based activities to ensure engaging and effective learning.
Participants are chosen in a stringent manner based on their present position, performance, leadership potential and work experience. The training is constructed on three prime factors Education, Exposure and Experience to provide a balanced learning experience. The program ended with a final assessment of participants' project work and actual experiences.
By ARISE, HMIL is looking to create a pipeline of leaders – to strengthen its internal talent pool, enhance employee engagement and retention and provide visible opportunities for career progression.
