The Financial Times MBA Rankings are one of the most prominent rankings globally for business schools. These rankings help students to choose the best MBA schools that provide high salaries, development opportunities, international experience and quality education.

These rankings are based on the alumni surveys conducted three years after graduation and the information provided by the schools. The parameters include development opportunities, increase in salary, diversity, research reputation, internationalisation, sustainability and overall quality. India’s Strong Performance in FT Global MBA Rankings 2026

In the 2026 FT MBA rankings, Indian B-schools have delivered a remarkable performance. The Indian School of Business is currently ranked 12th in the world up by 15 spots from 2025's 27th and 2024's 31st. Indian Institutes of Management and other top private b-schools have also made it to the top 50 and top 100 rankings thus establishing India’s growing global presence in management education.

ISB is ranked 12th worldwide in 2026 FT ranking for mba moving up from 27th in 2025 and 31st in 2024. ISB's PGP is ranked 1 in India and 2 in Asia. ISB's alumni achieved the highest salary percentage growth globally and ISB is ranked 6 worldwide for its alumni network. ISB has one of the largest MBA intakes worldwide and offers a blend of excellent academics, global exposure and leadership skills.

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad - Rank 27

IIM Ahmedabad has moved up to rank 27 in 2026 from rank 31 in 2025 and rank 41 in 2024 with a three year average ranking of 33 and falls under Tier II. Almost 99% of the students were placed within three months with a 160% hike in salary. It also ranks 3rd in terms of career development and 18th in value for money. The institute is also rated on ESG and net zero teaching, research, international mobility and sector diversity.

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore - Rank 34

IIM Bangalore’s one-year EPGP program has moved up to rank 34 in 2026 from rank 57 in 2025 and stands 3rd in India. It has scored 85% in Aims Achieved and ranks 2nd in India in terms of research. The institute has already produced over 1000 senior leaders across various sectors and provides excellent academics, leadership development and global experience.

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta - Rank 53

IIM Calcutta has moved up to rank 53 in 2026 from rank 61 in the previous year. It has achieved 2nd rank globally in International Course Experience emphasising its excellent global experience and dedication to academic excellence.

Indian Institute of Management Lucknow - Rank 58 

IIM Lucknow’s IPMX program is ranked 58th in the world in 2026 up from 85th in 2024 and 71st in 2025 with a three year average ranking of 71. It has an alumni network ranking of 47. The employment rate is 94% within three months of graduation. It is ranked 13th for value for money and career progress. It has 100 per cent faculty with doctorates. It provides a great international course experience.

Indian Institute of Management Indore - Rank 62

IIM Indore is ranked 62nd globally in 2026 up from 69th in 2025. The program has shown improvement in career progress, careers service and sustainability. Career Progress rank is improved from 20 to 15 and Careers Service rank is improved from 52 to 37. The improved carbon footprint ranking indicates its emphasis on responsible and future-ready management education.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode - Rank 65

IIM Kozhikode is ranked 65th in the world in 2026 and continues to perform steadily in global competitiveness rankings such as career outcomes and academic quality.

S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research - Rank 74

SPJIMR is ranked 74th worldwide in 2026 and is the top new entry in the ranking table this year. It has the highest percentage of women faculty members at 44% the highest among Indian B-schools. It is ranked 29th worldwide for value for money and 39th for careers service. Alumni experienced a 199% salary hike three years after graduation.

XLRI - Xavier School of Management - Rank 82

XLRI is ranked 82nd worldwide in 2026 moving up from 99th in 2024 and 83rd in 2025. It has 100% employment within three months and a 243% salary hike after graduation. It is ranked 23rd worldwide for careers service and 28th for career progress. Alumni satisfaction is at 8.74 out of 10. The school has 40% women students, 95% faculty with doctorates and an alumni network ranked 38th worldwide.
