Former IIT Delhi Professor Designated as the New Director of IIM Lucknow.
On Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025, the former IIT Delhi Professor Manmohan Prasad Gupta was designated as the new director of IIM Lucknow. He replaced Prof. Archana Shukla. Prior to his appointment as the new director of IIM Lucknow, he was the chairperson of the Modi Foundation at Indian Instiute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
Prof. M.P. Gupta is a veteran academic with more than 30 years of experience and has been associated with top Indian institutions like IIT Roorkee, IIT Jodhpur and IIT Delhi. He has been influencing management education in the country with his expertise.
Prof. Gupta has spent many years impacting the management education landscape in India. Following a B.Tech degree from HBTU Kanpur, he received an M.Tech and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi beginning his illustrious career. Moreover, he co-authored the book "Government Online" and edited the books "Towards E-government" and "Promise of E-governance." He is recognised for his contributions to e-governance and digital governance. Prof. Gupta was awarded the 'Best Professor Award' at the Singapore World Education Congress.
