Key features of the IIM Ranchi MBA (Executive) syllabus

• The two-year Executive MBA program would be beneficial for working professionals who have three years or more of experience. Every term offers a mix between flexibility and immersion learning by combining on-campus modules with weekend online classes.

• In Year 1 (Terms I–III), students cover advanced core topics (approximately 20 credits each term). For example, Term I includes Consumers, Firms & Markets, Financial & Forensic Accounting, Leadership & Managerial Effectiveness, Quantitative Techniques, Marketing Management, Communication for Managers I, Ethics, Governance & Sustainability, Financial Markets and Managerial Computing. Term II and III cover subjects like macroeconomics & policy, corporate finance, operations & strategy, organisational behaviour, and research methods.

IIM Ranchi Five-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM)

• Integrated Degree: IPM program is a five-year integrated full-time course. After three years (if they leave), students obtain a BBA, and after five years, they receive an MBA. Students must pass a capstone assessment at the conclusion of Year 3 with a minimum CGPA of 4.5 out of 10 in order to proceed on to the MBA section.

• Multidisciplinary Foundation: Years 1–2 (Terms 1–4) cover a broad mix of subjects—mathematics, sciences, humanities, social sciences and introductory business. Core courses include Differential & Integral Calculus, Environmental Sciences, Statistics, Psychology, Indian Literature, Sociology, etc.

Executive Ph.D is a three-year PhD program created for senior executives who have five years of full-time experience in management, entrepreneurship, or the workplace.Its curriculum is term-wise: Year 1 has three terms (3 months each). Term I (Jan–Mar) covers foundational research courses (e.g. Introduction to Academic Research, Theories & Frameworks) Term II (Apr–Jun) covers methodology (Research Methods, Case Writing & Teaching).
