The conference was inaugurated by Prof Bharat Bhasker Director of IIM Ahmedabad and he highlighted the importance of case studies in building decision-making skills. Two keynote addresses were given by Ms. Violetta Gallagher of Ivey Publishing on global standards related to high-quality teaching cases and Mr. Rahul Kumar Sharma of SAGE who highlighted trends in case publishing and new avenues for authors.

The speakers stressed diversity, ethics, sustainability and integrity in case writing. Dr Prabina Rajib, the Director of BIMTECH mentioned that ICMC continues to develop practice-based management education.

It drew together more than 100 case authors from across the globe, including India, Japan, the US, Thailand, Lithuania, Finland and the UAE. More than 70 instances were showcased in 14 thematic tracks involving strategy, sustainability, leadership, human dynamics and transformational change.

Ms. Gallagher's 6th Case Master Development Workshop was a big highlight, as it trained participants in the art of writing good cases and teaching notes and explained Ivey Publishing's submission process. There was also a Meet the Editors conference with worldwide editorial leaders from Case Research Journal, The Case Journal, Emerging Markets Case Studies and FIIB Review, who gave advice on publishing high-quality cases.

ICMC 2025 also awarded nine case prizes, sponsored by Ivey Publishing, SAGE and The Case Centre, which recognised distinction in originality, rigour and real-world applicability.

The meeting wrapped up with a fresh resolve for the betterment of case pedagogy in the world. The 15th ICMC will be held in the first week of December 2026 in association with the EU-funded KODECET project.
