Bihar's Planning and Development Department Officers Participate in an MDP on Capacity Development Program at IIM Bodh Gaya
Director of IIM Bodh Gaya Dr. Vinita S. Sahay directed the program. Professor Sahay's address emphasised the importance of flexible leadership, emotional intelligence and collective governance. The three-day MDP seeks to equip officers with the requisite tools for successful planning, stakeholder management, evidence-based decision-making and project management.
Professor Amit Srivastava Chairperson, Executive Education & Consultancy headed the program, which was guided by Professors Muhammed Ashiq V and Remya Lathabhavan. It comprised 30 Bihar officers and involved classroom interactive sessions, case studies and an outbound heritage trip.
The main topics were vision and people alignment, social media and departmental reputation, contract management, statistical tools, emotional intelligence, stakeholder dynamics, project financing and leadership application. A major panel of IIM Bodh Gaya faculty members conducted seminars.
The series of activities concluded with a valedictory ceremony during which the participants were presented with completion certificates. Coordinators Professor Ashiq and Professor Remya expressed sincere gratitude to the professor, staff and administration teams. They expressed gratitude to Mr. K. Senthil Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Government of Bihar for enabling the initiative.
