Banaras Hindu University’s Institute of Management Studies has started accepting applications for its MBA programs for the academic session 2026–28. The institute is offering two programmes with a total of 59 seats in each program. 

First is the MBA program with specialisations in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance, Operations Management and Information Technology. Second one is the MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) with the same specialisations as above along with Global Business Operations as per the rules of the program.

According to the notification admissions to both the programs would be done through the CAT exam. The candidates must hold a graduation degree under the 10+2+3 system, a postgraduate degree in any discipline or a professional degree in fields such as Engineering, Technology, Agriculture, Medicine, Education or Law.

Selection to both programs will be based on a composite merit score that comprises -

• Weightage to CAT score is 50%

• Weightage to Academic Records is 20%

• 15% weightage to the group discussion

• 15% weight age to the personal interview

The online application window for both the programs will open on 25 Nov 2025 and close on 4 Jan 2026.

Shortlisting for the GD-PI round is expected by the end of Feb 2026 with call letters likely to be released in the first week of March. The GD-PI process will be held in mid-March and the results will be announced in the first week of April. Classes for the new batch are scheduled to begin on 13 Jul 2026.
