The students who have secured at least 60 percent in their postgraduate degree are eligible to apply. A written test followed by an interview is involved in the selection process. However candidates who have cleared exams like NET, GATE or CSIR are exempted from the written test and hence can directly attend the interview.

Fellowship up to ₹40000 per month for three years

There are several programs for which PhD applicants may apply including management. Admission is open at nine campuses such as Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai, Faridabad, Kochi, Mysuru and Nagercoil.

It will offer selected PhD scholars a monthly fellowship of ₹30000 to ₹40000 for three years besides publishing research support, conference travel and tuition waiver. Access to state-of-the-art labs and research facilities is another advantage. The university said that it offers yearly funding support for research scholars across all campuses.
