TANCET 2026 Registration Last Date, Application Fee & Steps

The candidates who have applied for the test can now view the status of their TANCET applications. If there are any problems with the images uploaded by them, they can make the necessary changes to them. In case there are any errors in their application forms they can write to the TANCET secretary requesting a correction. They will need to attach proper proof to support their request.

Eligibility Criteria for TANCET 2026 Registration - Who Can Apply?

In order to be eligible to apply for the TANCET 2026 exam, candidates must have completed their bachelor's degree with a minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to the general category should be 50 per cent. However applicants in the reserved category must receive at least 45 per cent of the possible points.

Note - Candidates from other states can also apply but will be considered as general category candidates during the process of seat allocation.

Important Documents Required for TANCET Exam Application 2026

The documents mentioned below must be available when you apply for TANCET 2026. Any incorrect information or document will lead to rejection of the application by Anna University.

Information Required -

  • A proper email ID and cell number

  • Registration number and passing year of Class 10

  • Registration number and passing year of Class 12

  • Details of the bank account for paying the fee online

Documents to Upload - 

  • A coloured photograph
  • A scanned copy of your signature
  • Certificate of Community in PDF form (for only SC, ST and SCA categories)

How to Fill TANCET Application Form 2026?

Complete the following steps to register for the TANCET 2026 exam -

Step 1 - Register on the Website for the TANCET MBA Exam

  • Visit the official TANCET exam website 

  • Then click the TANCET 2026 registration link.

  • Select the 'Click Here' option against 'For Online Registration'

  • Fill in the required information like name, email ID, mobile number, DoB, password, school registration number and nativity particulars

  • Create a password and choose the Post Graduate program of your choice 

  • Enter the captcha code and hit 'Submit'

Step 2 - Login After Registration

The candidates will receive an email confirmation after the registration process. They can complete the application by logging in using their registered email ID and password.

Step 3 - Enter Personal Details

  • Enter the following personal details in the form such as Gender, Nationality, Address, City, Pincode and State

  • Click 'Next' to continue.

Step 4 - Fill Academic Details 

Candidates need to enter their personal details like - 

  • Class 10 registration number and year of passing

  • Class 12 registration number and year of passing

  • Name of your qualifying degree and specialisation

  • Year of completing your qualifying degree

They must click on ‘Next’ to move ahead.

Note - If the candidate's qualifying exam result is not yet declared then type NA in the 'Year of Passing' field.

Step 5 - Fill Exam Details 

Candidates have to select their preferred exam city among the available TANCET exam centres. Apart from that, candidates will also have to enter their desired course for admission. Click on ‘Save & Proceed’ after entering the information.

Step 6 - Upload Photograph and Signature 

To upload your photo and signature follow these simple steps – 

  • Select the image file from your computer

  • Preview the image

  • If the image is satisfactory then click on ‘Upload’. 

  • After that click on ‘Next’ to proceed further

Step 7 - Confirmation of Details 

Before proceeding further, students should make sure that all entered data along with the images uploaded are correct.

Step 8 - Payment of Application Fee

After verifying all the information pay the application fee based on your category. A rebate will be available to candidates belonging to the reserved category. However, it should be noted that no refund shall be made against the application fee so check all details carefully before making the payment.

Applying for More Than One Course - In case anyone applies for more than one course, then they will be required to pay an additional fee of ₹1000 for the Unreserved Category or ₹500 for the Reserved Category.

Things to Follow While Filling the TANCET Application Form 2026

The uploaded documents must be as per the prescribed guidelines. Anna University will reject the application form of candidates if the uploaded images have any issues.

TANCET Application Form Correction 2026

There is no provision for making any changes in the application form by Anna University separately. However, the university regularly updates the application status and lists application numbers that need document corrections. The candidates whose application numbers get listed out in the application status PDF have to log in to their accounts and upload the documents again. Candidates who fail to make corrections in the documents will lose their applications.

A minimum of 50% marks is needed for applying in case of general category candidates and a minimum of 45% marks in case of reserved category candidates for the TANCET 2026 examination.

Yes. Applicants from other states can also apply for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test and they will be considered as general category applicants.

The candidates have to upload a colored passport-size photo, signature in scanned format, and community certificate in PDF format (in case of SC/ST/SCA candidates) in their TANCET application form.
