Students should review the examination centres and pick a preferred TANCET 2026 test centre which is located nearest to their residence so that they do not have to travel too much and reach their allotted TANCET test centre without any delay. Students can select their preferred test centre from the 15 TANCET test centre cities list 2026. The TANCET exam date is 9 May 2026. 

Allocation of TANCET test centres for the year 2026 will be done on the principle of first-come and first-served. However, some candidates might not be able to get TANCET 2026 in the city of their choice due to the limited number of seats available instead they will have to attend the centre designated by the authority. The participants' TANCET hall ticket will list the name of the exam centre that the authorities have assigned to them. After that, there is no way to alter the designated test location.

  • The selection of the exam centre is done on the basis of 'first come first serve'. This implies which means that early applicants have higher chances of securing their desired city.

  • Candidates can choose only one test city from among the fifteen test cities where the exam is conducted.

  • Candidates have to choose the test centre that lies closest to their home town so that travelling is not a problem for them.

  • The TANCET admit card will include the name of the chosen testing location.

Steps to Choose the TANCET Exam Centre City For MBA

Candidates should take the following simple steps to choose the TANCET Exam centre city for 2026 - 

  • After successful completion of the TANCET 2026 online registration process, the candidate gets a unique TANCET key.

  • The candidate can use the login details along with the TANCET key to fill out their application form.

  • In the examination details part, the candidate should first decide on the exam in which they wish to appear such as MBA and then select one city among 15 exam cities.

  • Now after the selection of the test city, the candidate should go to upload the photograph.

Note - The candidate should be extremely careful about choosing the test city since no request for changing the city will be entertained by the authorities after submission of the application form.

Documents to be Carried Along with TANCET Admit Card

The candidate must carry their ID proof in addition to the TANCET admit card while going to the examination hall. The photo ID proof should be an official ID issued by the government containing a photograph of the candidate that will be verified at the time of identification. The following documents have been identified as acceptable IDs - 

  • The candidate’s Aadhar Card

  • Candidate’s Voter ID Card

  • Passport

  • University/College ID Card

  • Driving License

  • PAN Card

  • Any other form of ID card issued by the Government of India

The candidate should carry original IDs and not photocopies as they are not accepted under any circumstances. 

TANCET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Every candidate writing the exam must adhere to these TANCET 2026 exam day instructions on the day of the test -

  • Arrive at the test centre an hour earlier than the reporting time.

  • Bring along the hall ticket issued for TANCET 2026 and a photo identification card.

  • Avoid taking any electrical gadgets inside the examination hall.

  • Do not take anything which violates the rules and follow the guidelines set by the examination authority.

  • Go through all the instructions thoroughly before the commencement of TANCET 2026.

The following items must not be carried inside the TANCET exam centre for the year 2026 -

  • Mobiles

  • Calculators

  • Cameras

  • Textbooks

  • Notebooks

The TANCET 2026 examination will take place in 15 cities of Tamil Nadu.

The applicant can choose only one test centre from the list of 15 test centres given on the official website.

TANCET 2026 examination centres will be allotted on a first-come and first-served basis.

The TANCET 2026 admission card will list the examination centre allotment.

Once applicants have registered for the TANCET 2026 exam, a key is allotted to them. After logging into the portal through this key they have to complete filling the application form and in the examination details they have to mention their exam type and one among the 15 test centres.

After submitting the TANCET application form, there will be no acceptance of any demand regarding the change of exam centre city.

At the TANCET exam centre, candidates have to carry their TANCET admit card along with a valid government photo ID like Aadhaar Card, Voter Identification Card, Passport, College/University Identity Card, Driver's License or any other Government photo ID.

Photostat or digital photos are not acceptable so candidates are advised to bring an original ID with them to the TANCET centre of examination.

Students are advised to report to the exam centre of the TANCET exam at least an hour before the prescribed reporting time.

Mobile phones, calculators, cameras, books, notebooks and stationery are all prohibited inside the TANCET 2026 testing location.
