Top 10 Private MBA colleges in NIRF Ranking 2025 and 2024

The NIRF 2025 rankings for private MBA courses indicate that India's top management schools are improving but continue to have issues. The Gurugram based Management Development Institute gained a lot of ground jumping from 11th to 9th while the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune moved up from 13th to 11th. XLRI Xavier School of Management held onto its high rank becoming tenth after ninth last year. Coimbatore’s Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Punjab’s Chandigarh University climbed the ladder and secured the 26th and 32nd spot respectively. Meanwhile some of the institutes, including MICA, Great Lakes Institute of Management and XIM University, witnessed dip in their ranks marginally which indicates more competition in the field.

NIRF 2025 Ranking of Top Gainer Private Management Colleges

Chandigarh University gained four positions in NIRF 2025 ranking of private management schools from 36th position in 2024 to 32nd position in 2025. Several institutions ranks in NIRF 2025 rankings for private management institutions reduced this year compared to last year. SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and Great Lakes Institute of Management were the worst performers both losing three notches. XIM University at Bhubaneswar fell two places and XLRI Xavier School of Management at Jamshedpur and MICA at Ahmedabad both fell one place.
