How Did NDIM Prepare Its Students?

The Training & Placement Cell at NDIM undertook a number of specific steps to ensure that the students were properly prepared before the placement season began. Some of the steps undertaken by the Training & Placement Cell at the institute were -

  • Pre-placement training for students to prepare them for the placement season

  • Aptitude training for students to enhance their problem-solving skills

  • Resume creation for students to ensure that they can present themselves well

  • Mock interviews for students to ensure that they can give good interviews

  • Industry interaction for students to give them real-time exposure

  • The above activities were conducted to ensure that students possessed good communication skills, analytical skills etc.

All of this effort is directed towards improving students' communication skills, analytical abilities and overall employability.

What the Management Said

The Managing Director of NDIM Mr Ayush Kumar addressed this year's placement season. He said that this year's results reflect a shift in what is currently being sought in people. He said that currently employers are placing greater emphasis on skills, analytical abilities and adaptability rather than academic qualifications

What's Next?

The placement process at NDIM is still in progress. More companies are likely to participate and recruit students in the coming weeks. It has also been stated that the institute will continue to emphasise - 

  • Industry-linked training

  • Experiential training

  • Skill development

These will be a part of the academic and professional development process at NDIM in the future.
