The Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad or MICA does not officially release a separate MICAT syllabus but the topics and pattern remain similar every year. The structure of the exam is quite unique comprising a Psychometric Test, Descriptive Test and Aptitude Test.

MICAT 2026 Syllabus
1. Psychometric Test
The first part of the MICAT exam syllabus evaluates a candidate’s personality, values and thought process.
It has around three sets of questions.
Candidates rate statements based on how well they describe their personality.
Certain questions require rated responses on a scale of one to six.
This section is only qualifying and not counted in the final score.
2. Descriptive Test
This part of the MICAT exam 2026 Syllabus checks writing and creative thinking.
Includes 3 - 4 tasks such as essay writing or creating stories from images.
Regular reading of editorials and practicing story writing helps improve performance.
3. Aptitude Test
This section of the MICAT 2025 Syllabus tests reasoning and verbal skills.
MICAT 2026 Marking Scheme
Part A of Psychometric Test - Qualifying only and there is no mark subtraction or negative marking.
Part B of Descriptive Test - four questions of 70 marks with no negative marking.
Part C of Aptitude Test - Plus one mark for correct answers is given and Minus 0.25 for wrong ones and at last there is no deduction for skipped questions.
